I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to explore Wild and Wonderful West Virginia.
Last weekend I took my 7year old to Lost River State Park and we hiked the White Oak Trail.
We first checked in at the Store and were given a map of the various trails in the Park. After a short drive we parked at the Riding Stables and took the path directly across from the Stables.
The first part of the incline was quite steep but then the path evened out and took us around bends, over fallen trees, and along narrow paths. It was quite challenging but a lot of fun. The weather was perfect, and my daughter and I had the most amazing day. I can’t wait to go all the way up to Cranny Crow.
